Efficiency of the Inductive Loop Detector Determines the Barrier Gate

The use of electronically controlled traffic is certainly more popular than any manual control operation due to the high reliability and the cost-effective way of operation that they have. There are barrier arm gates of different lengths in the market by the leading manufacturers that cater to effective control of traffic in various places like the toll plaza, the shopping malls, in the parking lots and also other public utility places. Each of them have several parts that together contribute to the detection and the operation details.

The Detection Process

Probably one of the most important components in the chain is the Inductive Loop Detector that is responsible for detecting a vehicle when it is in close proximity. The primary function of the loop detector is to detect if the vehicle has completed the process of passing through the access control or the ticketing lane. Once the vehicle has been detected approaching the detector, the barrier motor will begin the operation of closing the boom arm of the barrier. These loop detectors work in conjunction with the other cloud-based operations that effectively monitor all vehicular traffic.

Identifying the Objects with Sensor

The Automatic Barrier Gate works with a sensor in the barrier system that maintains repeated counts of the vehicles that approach the barrier. It is their optimal quality and accuracy that will determine the efficiency of the business at the place where it is installed. These are also easy to use gadgets that only have to be plugged in for the operation to begin. The detection is done by the microprocessors in the device that identify the vehicle by the inductance changes in the metal parts of the vehicle.
